Professional Summary:
I am an artist working primarily with wood-fired ceramics. I have an MFA from the University of Iowa. My research in combination with my creative work includes exploration and use of local clay and glaze materials, sustainable and renewable firing practices with local fuels, and environmentally friendly kiln design. I coordinate and primarily teach the freshman year, where non-art students have access to art classes.
