Suzi Taylor, MSU Extended University Assistant Director, will talk about how to communicate and connect your science to target audiences.
Join us for this fast-paced romp through 30 different ideas for sharing your science with the public. Some of the strategies are tried-and-true and others are cutting-edge…But they’ll all get your wheels turning about how to engage with the public—whether that's a project you're immersed in right now or a grant proposal-in-progress that needs a broader impacts plan.
We'll use the rest of the hour to hear your own communications and outreach ideas and touch briefly on the new broader impacts requirements of NSF's new Grant Proposal Guidelines. You can also take time to flesh out a strategy of your own choosing with input from outreach professionals and peers.
Last but not least, one lucky participant will win a Science Communications and Outreach Package from Extended University, which includes a one-on-one coaching session, an infographic you can share with the public, and creation of an online article about your research.
Extended University is an academic outreach arm of Montana State University, dedicated to sharing MSU's vast resources with the citizens of our communities at the local, state, regional, national and international level.
