Join the IoE Outreach team for a presentation and discussion about how
community engagement strategies from the South by Southwest Interactive
Festival (SXSW) might inspire us to think broadly about communicating with
our own target audiences. NOTE: The Webinar presentation is hosted by the
Poynter Institute and is designed primarily for journalists and online
communicators. In the discussion following, we will probe whether any of
these innovative ideas from the media and entertainment world might apply to
how we engage Montana audiences in discussions about science and research.

About SXSW: This annual festival in Austin, Texas brings together more than
30,000 digital creatives from across the United States for five days of
panels, presentations, brainstorming, networking, deal-making, socializing,
creating, innovating, and fun. The festival is known for its success in
engaging its community of registrants on-site, as well as the broader online
