Please join us for a luncheon conversation about the Interdisciplinary Collaborative Network (ICN), Wednesday, October 9, at noon, EPS 126
Headed by UM graduate student Mandy Slate, the ICN formed as a result of a collaborative effort between UM graduate students and faculty to connect Montana researchers from varying professional levels, universities, and disciplines. Supported by Montana EPSCoR and the Institute on Ecosystems, the infrastructure has been built in the form of a website, through which you can now more easily find collaborative researchers statewide (http://www.interdisciplinarycollaborativenetwork.org) Additionally, the ICN team is working to strengthen the cross-discipline network of graduate students. UM has posted a calendar which lists the various departmental seminars and hosts monthly informal social events.
Recent conversations with grad students at MSU have kindled the idea of starting an ICN 'hub' in Bozeman. IOE support would continue to help in this endeavor and MSU specific links could be added to the website.
We invite you to join us, learn a little more about the ICN, and be a part of the effort to create an integrated graduate student network both within the state and within MUS institutions. A light lunch will be provided starting at 11:45.
