Jeffrey Jacquet is an environmental sociologist specializing in assessing social impacts of energy development. He has conducted research among landowners and community members the Upper Green River Basin of Wyoming as well as in Pennsylvania's Marcellus plays. Jacquet holds a MA from the University of Wyoming and PhD from Cornell University.

Headwaters Economics has invited Jacquet to Bozeman for a staff workshop and the MSU Department of Earth Sciences is sponsoring this campus seminar.
