Julia Haggerty is Associate Professor of Geography in the Department of Earth Sciences and the Interim Director of the Institute on Ecosystems at Montana State University. The work discussed in this talk was supported by a recent grant from the National Science Foundation to update and expand upon research on 1990s-era trends land ownership change in the Greater Yellowstone. As a PhD student at the University of Colorado-Boulder, Haggerty contributed to the first GYE study, led by Dr. William Travis and Dr. Hannah Gosnell. Gosnell and newly-minted MSU PhD Katie Epstein are collaborators on the current iteration of this work.
