Professional Summary:
I am a Professor of Geophysics at the University of Montana. My primary research interests include continental deformation, tectonics, and the earthquake cycle. I am also interested in landscape response to tectonic forcing, and landscape signals of deformation. Aside from research, I work hard to help convey and geologic hazard information to at-risk communities worldwide. I teach tectonics and geophysics content, as well as critical thinking, scientific literacy, and numeracy. I dabble in the ethics of scientific discoveries.
