weathering

Dixon, Jean Louise

Assistant Professor
Earth Sciences
Montana State University

I am a geomorphologist interested in the chemical, physical and biological processes at Earth’s Surface that form soil from rock, transport soil and sediment, and sculpt the landsurface. My research uses geochemical tools such as cosmogenic radionuclides to quantify the rates and patterns of Earth surface processes.

Ewing, Stephanie

Assistant Professor
Land Resources & Environmental Sciences
Montana State University - Bozeman

My research explores the role of soils in the Earth system, with emphasis on biogeochemical cycles as revealed by variation of soil processes at the landscape scale, including atmospheric deposition to soils, disturbance gradients, and the contribution of weathering processes to groundwater and surface water chemistry in small catchments. My approach includes exploitation of novel isotopic tools to address interesting questions in these areas.
