I am professor and Department Head of the Land Resources and Environmental Sciences Department at Montana State University. My research and teaching programs in weed physiology center on understanding how environmental, insect and herbicide stresses influence crop and weed productivity. Current work is exploring the role and mechanism of alkaloid biosynthesis by a fungal endophyte in the toxic locoweed. I have taught courses on Plant Physiology, Plant Metabolism, and Pesticide Fate, and also offer a distance course on Herbicide Mode of Action at MSU with CSU.
