Multivariate Statistics

Greenwood, Mark

Associate Professor of Statistics
Mathematical Sciences
Montana State University - Bozeman

Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Wyoming (2004). Research includes statistical methods in climate change, environmental and educational statistics. Statistical methods often are related to high time frequency multiple time series using functional data analysis and generalized additive mixed models. I am also interested in clustering, classification and regression trees, and permutation testing methods. I have experience running Montana State University’s Statistical Consulting Center and working on collaborative research in many different disciplines.

My training is in statistis with specialization in Multivariate statistics. I do reasearch in the area of Robust Multivariate Methods for high dimensional data. A significan fraction of my pulications relate to devising robust multivariate methods in factorial experiements when the number of available replications is limited or small. Recently, I have shifted my research focus to robust methods for multivartiate data with missing observations. On the applied side, I am interested in the application of statistics in the bio-medical and enviromental sciences.
