Johnstone, Anthony

Professor Johnstone teaches Constitutional Law, Election Law, and Public Regulation of Business among other courses. He also supervises the Appellate Defender Clinic. Before joining the School of Law, Johnstone served as the Solicitor for the State of Montana. In that position, he advised and represented the State in constitutional and complex litigation at the trial and appellate levels. Johnstone also clerked for the Honorable Sidney R.

Maneta, Marco

Dr Maneta's research focuses on water and energy flows in the landscape at the watershed and regional scales. Specifically, he is interested on how vegetation and agriculture drive the apportionment of available water and energy and are thus a primary control on hydrologic processes.  After finishing his Ph.D. (University of Extremadura, Spain) on integrated physics-based hydrologic modeling for semiarid regions, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at UC Davis on the interactions between hydrology and agriculture.

I am the director of the MSUB Grants and Sponsored Programs office. I help all of our faculty develop successful research proposals in many areas. Before becoming an administrator, I was a climate scientist focusing on global climate change and water resources, mainly from snowpack. My research has encompassed both physical and social sciences in my career and I have focused on complex systems analysis in the Yellowstone ecosystem.

White, Nadia

Nadia White's work at the University of Montana has included ground breaking coordination with the School of Law to cover the criminal trial of W.R. Grace executives. Subsequent work with the law school provided coverage of the debate over the sale of Mountain Water, Missoula's public water provider, to a private equity firm. She teaches public affairs reporting, sports reporting and global current events in addition to graduate courses in science and natural resource journalism.
