Gunderson, Robert (Bob)

Adjunct Professor
Electrical and Computer Engineering
Montana State University - Bozeman

Education: 1958, BSEE Montana State College; !967, PhD Applied Mathematics, University of Alabama;

Kaiser, Todd

Associate Professor
Electrical and Computer Engineering
Montana State University - Bozeman

My area of interests are in microfabricated sensors and actuators. I teach courses where students go in the clean room and fabricate transistors, micromechanical structures and solar cells. I am currently working on a radiation sensor for a NASA project for radiation tolerant computing.

LaMeres, Brock

Assistant Professor
Electrical & Computer Engineering
Montana State University - Bozeman

My research is in the area of digital systems with special focus on reconfigurable computing. Reconfigurable computing is the real-time modification of digital hardware implemented on a programmable fabric (FPGA, CPLD, etc..). My research group is investigating how to exploit reconfigurable computing to deliver computer systems optimized for the application at hand. This can include increased computation, reduced mass for flight computers, or reduced power consumption for portable systems.

Maher, Rob

Professor and Department Head
Electrical & Computer Engineering
Montana State University - Bozeman

My research interests include acoustical analysis of natural soundscapes and the impact of anthropogenic sound on the natural environment. I perform research on automatic classification of sounds in long-term soundscape audio recordings, audio forensic analysis, and digital audio signal processing for both scientific and entertainment purposes.

Nehrir, Hashem

Professor
Electrical & Computer Engineering
Montana State University - Bozeman

I am a professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering at Montana State University-Bozeman.

Shaw, Joseph

Professor
Electrical and Computer Engineering
Montana State University - Bozeman

Joseph Shaw develops optical remote sensing systems and uses them for interdisciplinary environmental science.

Snider, Ross

Associate Professor
Electrical and Computer Engineering
Montana State University - Bozeman

I'm developing tools (both hardware and software) to help collect and processing data for research activities in both auditory neuroscience and biochemistry (proteomics). I'm interesting in using FPGAs for custom embedded computing applications (data recording and processing). I'm interested in how the human brain processes both visual and auditory information.

I teach computer engineering and signal processing courses in the ECE department.

Wolff, Richard

Professor and Gilhousen Telecommunications Chair
Electrical and Computer Engineering
Montana State University - Bozeman

Thirty six years of experience in telecommunications including wireless networks, sensor networks, fiber optics and satellite communications. BS in Engineering Physics from the University of California at Berkeley and PhD in Physics from Columbia University. Both academic (Columbia, MSU) experience and industry (BellLabs, Bellcore, Telcordia) experience.
