Assistant Professor
Land Resources and Environmental Sciences
Montana State University - Bozeman

Biosphere – atmosphere exchange of mass and energy with an emphasis on modeling long-term (inter-annual) CO2 and H2O flux at the plot, regional and global scale, and with respect to land use change. Collaboration with the international terrestrial carbon cycle community (FLUXNET). Quantifying biosphere-climate feedbacks. Eddy covariance, sap flow, respiration chamber and flux-gradient methodologies. Wavelet and data assimilation techniques. Information theory for scaling problems in Ecology. Ecosystem thermodynamics.
