My research focuses on processes for collaborating across organizational and disciplinary lines to do innovative work--so that we can collaborate successfully, reliably, and on purpose. I use qualitative data and methods as well as simulations, and my findings culminate, ideally, in practical guidance grounded in rich social theories.

My strength is in quantitative analysis as applied to a variety of problems in economics and business. So far, I worked in the areas of public finance, health, risk and uncertainty, organizational change, and students learning assessment. Currently, I am teaching Statistical Methods for Business (topics include testing hypotheses, ANOVA, and multiple regression).

Focus of work has been on counseling companies, first for a decade as a partner with Stoel Rives LLP, a major U.S. law firm, then as the executive in charge of the consulting operations at two national companies. Extensive work with public and private Fortune 500 companies throughout North America, Asia, Latin America and Europe to develop and implement proportionate and actionable solutions to business process, risk management and legal challenges.

I'm a founding member of the Yellowstone Gateway Business Coalition and Upper Yellowstone Watershed Partnership, and a board member of the Yellowstone Environmental Research Council. My focus is on public-private conservation models in Paradise Valley (from Gardiner to Livingston). My PhD is in NLP and I'm an executive at Fortune 500 Arrow Electronics, overseeing Cloud and IoT technologies. I'm implementing a multi-node sensor network on the Upper Yellowstone alongside machine learning algorithms to better understand changes in the water ecology of the river.
