Research/Scholarly Work:
I work in the new field of landscape genetics which combines landscape ecology and computer science. I'm interested in using problem solving techniques (algorithms) in the field of computer science to answer biological problems. My main PhD work is to study how animals movement is impacted by the composition of the terrain they cross to explain their genetic relatedness. Related to this I also am interested in how future climate change will impact the genetic relatedness between individuals on landscapes and their future survival.
