Research/Scholarly Work:
My dissertation research focuses on how local adaptation - the increased fitness of a population in its home site - can affect native plant materials policy. Specifically, I am studying the ways that locally adapted populations could respond to climate change or invasion by non-native species, as well as if we can predict local adaptation from species' traits. I am also interested in understanding if current research methods provide an accurate assessment of local adaptation.
