Title: Effects of Biotic Interactions on Climate-Growth Relationships of Conifers: Ecophysiological Aspects and Consequences for Climate Change and Forest Management My research explores how biotic interactions affect climate sensitivity and the vulnerability of ponderosa pine and Douglas-fir to drought and climate change in the inland Northwest. Results will help improve predictions about vegetation responses to climate change while also addressing conflicting hypotheses about the dynamic role of competition along environmental gradients.
