Research/Scholarly Work:
I am investigating hydrogeomorphic influences on bull trout spawning habitat in mountain streams. The bull trout is a thermally-sensitive, threatened species, native to the Pacific Northwest, and spawns in mountain-sourced, cold-water, gravel-bedded streams. Understanding the physical and hydrologic processes creating favorable bull trout spawning habitat will inform habitat protection and rehabilitation efforts.
