Join us! Discussion groups on Climate Change MOOC

Next week, The World Bank launches a MOOC (massively open online course) called Turn Down the Heat: Why We Should Avoid a 4-degree C Warmer World.

The course is free and open to people all around the world: https://www.coursera.org/course/warmerworld

But what's even better is that Jamie McEvoy of MSU's Earth Sciences Department has volunteered to lead discussion groups for Montanans who are enrolled in the course. We can talk about how the global concepts from the World Bank's MOOC apply to Montana.

We'll meet each Friday afternoon from 2-3pm in EPS 127 on the MSU campus. All students, faculty, staff and members of the public are welcome. The sessions are free, and you can come to any or all. They will be held on Jan. 31 and Feb. 7, 14 and 21 to coincide with the four-week schedule of the Warmer World course.

See you there!
