Gas, Food and Lodging

Tony Hartshorn presents at STEM: Imagine the Future

At a public event called STEM: Imagine the Future on Oct. 16, Institute on Ecosystems Affiliate Tony Hartshorn presented “Gas, Food, Lodging: What You Should Know About the Carbon Cycle” to 200 educators and community members.

The event was hosted by Montana’s Office of Public Instruction and held at the Museum of the Rockies.

Hartshorn gave the presentation in the fast-paced “Ignite” style—15 slides shown for 15 seconds each. An assistant professor in Land Resources & Environmental Sciences at MSU, Hartshorn first developed the talk during a workshop called “Pecha Kucha for Scientists and Scholars,” hosted by Montana EPSCoR’s outreach team in Fall 2012.

He also presented the talk to a sold-out audience of 700 at Bozeman’s Pecha Kucha Night in Spring 2013.
