Andrew Wilcox is an assistant professor in the Department of Geosciences at the University of Montana. He is also the Director of the University of Montana’s Center for Riverine Science and Stream Renaturalization. Dr. Wilcox completed a PhD at Colorado State University, a MS at the University of California-Berkeley, and BA at Stanford University. He also has worked as a post-doctoral research associate with the US Geological Survey, in private consulting, and for the National Park Service. Research focus: Dr. Wilcox is a fluvial geomorphologist whose research entails field studies and modeling of river flow, sediment transport, and channel morphology, which he in turn relates to aquatic ecosystem processes and watershed management.
