My research interests include modeling complex biological systems such as biofilms in the environment and in the lab, Bayesian inverse problems, iterative sampling from high dimensional densities, bifurcation theory with symmetries, and annealing/clustering schemes. My appointment at MSU is split between research at the Center for Biofilm Engineering as a biostatistician, and teaching (about one course/semester) in the Department of Mathematical Sciences.
