Professional Summary: 

My research and teaching focus on the human dimensions of natural resources with an emphasis on outdoor recreation and management. I currently teach PTRM 300 Recreation Behavior and PTRM 310 Natural Resource Interpretation and Communication. I also teach a graduate level class on Perspectives in Human Dimensions of Natural Resource. My research examines the attitudes, values and beliefs of individuals and how they influence recreation choices and shape how we manage our natural resources.

My current research projects and interests include:
-Issues related to hunter recruitment and retention including engaging diverse participants and access to public and private land
-Social acceptability of managing urban deer populations
-Working with MT State Parks to develop MT's State Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan
-Modeling constraints to recreation behavior
