Professional Summary: 

Dr. Rebecca Garvoille is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Social Science stationed at Yellowstone National Park. At Yellowstone, she is collaborating with key National Park Service staff and allies to design a strategic, systematic and forward-thinking social science research program. Specifically, her work entails surveying the relevant existing literature, using interviews and park planning documents to identify key social science research needs and priorities, and proposing research strategies to collect the appropriate data and forge strategic partnerships to enhance Yellowstone National Park stewardship. Rebecca is focused on using social science to 1) strengthen research and decision-making processes at America's most iconic national park, and to 2) increase knowledge about the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem as a complex socio-ecological system.
