Professional Summary: 

Carl Fox is Dean of the Graduate School and Professor of Land Resources and Environmental Sciences. His research interests are focused on assessing he effects of natural and anthropogenic factors (e.g., climate, pollution, grazing) on terrestrial ecosystems in the western U.S. Previous studies under his direction have addressed the development and implementation of environmental monitoring and assessment programs to determine and define ecosystem health. Current research activities are centered on utilizing and integrating ecological principles into the management of natural and agricultural ecosystems. Carl is also active in the development and implementation of educational programs focused on increasing the number of American Indian students who enter into and complete undergraduate and graduate programs.
