Burkle, Laura

Assistant Professor
Ecology
Montana State University - Bozeman
Professional Summary:

My research interests include understanding the consequences of environmental factors, such as climate change, invasive species, land-use change, and nutrient availability on the biodiversity of native plants and their interactions with animal mutualists and antagonists. In particular, I use a combination of observational, experimental, and theoretical approaches to examine the structure and function of plant-pollinator interactions at the community level. I typically work in both natural (alpine meadows, glades, prairies, etc) and human-dominated systems (agriculture, forest fragments, etc). I am also very interested in education and involving both undergraduate and graduate students in mentored research.
