Saturday, August 31, 2019 - 9:00am

Please see the message below about a presentation opportunity with Gardiner High School's Yellowstone Science Class

Yellowstone Scientists,

The Gardiner High School science teacher, Shelby Jones, will teach a Yellowstone Science class this school year and is requesting scientists visit her class in Gardiner to present some aspect of science in the park. The Yellowstone Science class will meet 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm Monday-Thursday and they are looking for a 20 - 40 minute presentation with time for questions the 3rd Thursday of each month.

To propose dates you or your staff might be available, please go to

She would love to incorporate some of what you do in the course as well as create opportunities for a student to be paired with a scientist for a day of job shadowing. If you have any questions or suggestions, please contact her at and use the link above to coordinate a Thursday classroom presentation. If you have suggestions for field trips, those are welcome, too.

If Thursday afternoons are never good for you, feel free to suggest another date for your presentation in her classroom. Please share this with other scientists, students, and partners doing science in the park as appropriate.
